Description

Ever feel like driving a tank?

Well, the military probably won't let you, so get the next best thing: a 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

This thing is a beast, with a beautiful 5.9-liter V8 under the hood producing 144 hp. It comes with a 3-speed automatic transmission, no overdrive available and it can drive through, over or around just about any weather.

Surprisingly, there are a few comforts available in this beast of a road machine. Air conditioning, power windows, and a cassette player all came standard in the 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

I have little but great things to say about this wagon. It's wonderful, especially in the snow…yes, just like you see in the movies.

ABOUT THIS CAR

This car is pretty much Concours – it's Stunning in every respect, inside and out. Would have to be the best example in the country.
Great Classic Woody Vehicle — I love the look of it and the ride. ... Great Classic Woody Vehicle — I enjoy this car; it is beautiful gets lots of looks. It's also good off roading and sturdy vehicle.
I love this car. It's roomy, comfortable and reliable. Nothing seems to stop it. Its never too hot, or too cold, nothing’s too much for this baby it just runs. Its also very solid.
The original luxury SUV is experiencing a boom in the vintage market, and prices will likely continue going up.
The Jeep Grand Wagoneer was the world’s first luxury SUV. Lined with plush leather, thick carpeting, a cushy ride, a fancy stereo, and power-operated everything—doors, seats, windows, even the tailgate glass—it was capable of transforming, at the flick of a switch, from an insulated freeway cruiser to an all-wheel-drive snow- and mud-conquering monster. The stylish family car was not only a prescient innovator in the marketplace, carving out space for players such as Land Rover’s Range Rover, but it also had something for everyone.

Car will be sold WOF’d and Registered, if sold in New Zealand.
