When you think of classic Italian sportscars from the 60’s the Alfa Romeo Spider is one of the first images that comes to mind. This is a chance to own a gorgeous example that is one of just 102 RHD cars produced so as well as elegance and style has rarity to add to its desirability.

The Alfa Romeo 2600 (Tipo 106) was Alfa Romeo´s six-cylinder flagship produced from 1962 to 1968. It was the successor to the Alfa Romeo 2000. It has become historically significant as the last Alfa Romeo to have been fitted with an inline six-cylinder engine with twin overhead camshafts. That had been the traditional Alfa Romeo engine configuration since the 1920s, but gave way to four-cylinder engines as the factory oriented its production towards more economical mass-produced car models starting in 1950.

The 2600 was introduced at the 1962 Geneva Motor Show,[7] as a sedan with a factory-built body (2600 Berlina) and a two-plus-two seater convertible with body by Carrozzeria Touring (2600 Spider).

This beautiful example of a 2600 Spider featured in the Auto Italia Magazine in 2017 and is front and centre on the cover!!! Copies of the magazine are included in the extensive history file that has many invoices dating back to 1976.

The 2600 is powered by a 2.6-litre straight-six twin-cam engine, fed by three Solex carburettors, driving the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission

The car is finished in stunning red and is in all round excellent condition,

The car was first registered in November 1964 and we have the “Certificato Di Origine” from Alfa Romeo showing the originality and matching chassis number.
