Purchased new by noted classic car enthusiast Robert Furniss Riding, this Bertone version of Fiat's mid-engined X1-9 remained in his million pound-plus car collection until his death in 2022. The car was registered in March 1986 and is now showing just 24,580 miles on its odometer. It has an MoT through to July 2025 and its V5C now records four registered keepers. Recent work has included an oil service and cambelt with tensioner, plus some paint repairs, gearbox work and other minor repairs. As a result, it presents very well inside and out, with its leather interior in especially good order. The car features a period Blaupunkt Montreal SQR 24 radio/cassette player, two fitted luggage bags and a car cover.
Paperwork includes the current and past V5Cs, old tax discs, invoices and MoTs back to 1989 that help confirm its mileage. There's also the original book pack with owner's handbook, dealer list and service book, with stamps up to 19,424 miles in May 1993. There is paper evidence of further servicing after this however. There's also a Shell mileage chart that lists all mileage and fill-ups between March 1986 at 13 miles and June 2021 at 24,294 miles. Also in the file is the Blaupunkt radio guide, European dealer guide, various club magazines, magazine and newspaper features, technical information, Haynes workshop manual, Brooklands road test book and original brochures.
